April 2019 - extracts from Maureen's email

Rossi has grown up. He still gets into mischief, but we still love him lots. He always has to help - nothing seems to frighten him. I was pegging the washing out and next he was hanging off the sheets! A big game for him.

About a week ago we were part changing the water in the fish tank, I heard John swearing. He had jumped in swam across and got out the other side. When he gets something in his head there is no stopping. He cheers every day for us. Attached are some pics with his best mate Bobby. They love each other and always together. So have a nice Easter, love from all the furries.

Christmas 2018 - from Maureen's email

Rossi wishes you and his aunties a Merry Christmas.

He is getting a big boy now. I had him neutered a few weeks ago, everything went ok and he had no problems. Have enclosed some photos. Hope you like them you and can see how big he is. When I took him into the vets all the nurses and the vets said he was beautiful. I am proud of him!

Oct 2018 - from Maureen's email

Rossi is growing fast - he is as big as the others and only 7 months.

He loves the garden and is always trying to help.He talks all the time so many different noises. If I am talking to my neighbour near the fence he joins in I am sure he shouts at her until she speaks to him. It is so funny. His coat has got thicker and his ruff has grown getting ready for the winter. Also he eats a lot love fish and chicken. I spoil them all!

June 2018 - from Maureen's email

He is doing so well, but its a bit hot so he sleeps most of the day in the shade under his umbrella.

He is such a friendly boy and loves to sit on my shoulder while I walk about, he purrs and keeps rubbing round my neck. At the moment he is not very heavy so I might be lop sided when he grows up!
Rossi has had a growth spurt and his legs look long so he still does a funny walk . Think his second teeth are coming through as he bites all his toys.

Some nights he wraps himself round my neck like a scarf and purrs. Its a bit hot this time of the year.

May 2018

Atholl now lives in Norfolk with Maureen and biker enthusiast husband, John. He was going to be called Ringo (after the Beatles), then they thought they would stay with Atholl, but now he is in his new home - he is called 'Rossi' after Italian Valentino Rossi who is a moto GP world champion and because he has such a loud purr, it sounds like the engine! They are well accustomed to NFC's and have probably owned the breed longer than me. However, today the have rescue cats - the oldest being about 18 years old. They have a completely secure and enclosed garden to keep all the cats safe.

Maureen and John prefer a good chat on the phone rather than email, so I will try and capture the conversation we had.

Rossi settled in straight away, checked out the house, garden, other cats and slept between John's legs the first night. Finding everything quite acceptable in his new home, he is keeping his human parents entertained. He has a new best feline friend and they play together all the time.

He is eating well and has no problem tucking into the food bowl of the oldest feline member, which she lets him do - either out of complete amazement at his kitten cheek or allowing him freedom as the newest member to be welcome into their household.

I look forwards to pictures and updates as time goes on.
