Nordligdrøm Juliet - Female - 6/2/2013

Black Smoke. NFO ns

May 2013 - Juliet (now named Julie) has settled in very well with Sogol and her family in North Finchley, London. She has a new friend called Henry who is a handsome rescue kitten, just a couple of weeks younger than her. The two have become friends and Julie has already undertaken the task of grooming him, as the start of a lasting friendship.

Sogol update - December 2014

The cats are very well and lovely as always, both have developed their own routines in the household and very affectionate. although Julie shows the whole family affection and always finds the time to groom me and my parents, henry seems to have a soft spot towards me, he's very much a mummies boy.

Just like Bombshell, Julie is always busy finding something to steal in mine and mums handbags, or even off my dads office desk, or tearing away at cardboard boxes. When she's been caught in the act of doing something naughty she runs away, so she's fully aware of what she's not supposed to do!

Sogol update - August 2014

Henry and Julie are, as always, incredibly happy and content with us here. we recently went away for two weeks and left both kitties at Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel in St.Albans where they were incredibly well looked after by a lovely lady called Gill, who sent us regular updates and pictures on their activities.

Julie is still as mischievous and loving as always, and she's never far away from a box! We recently discovered that she doesn't like to stay in her basket when she's in the car, she even managed to open the door with her head!

December 2013 - adapted from Sogol's email

Julie and Henry are blissfully happy in our home, they are loved by the whole family. They have their daily routine of waking me up with cuddles and kisses (both of them!) for food, and then have their mad few hours of running around and wrestling, and eventually cuddle up in one corner.

Whenever Julie cuddles up to me, she gets up to give kisses to my mum and dad to show them she loves them too, and comes back to me to snuggle up. In fact she has cuddled up to me whilst I write this email to you, which is tricky as shes demanding my attention and sits on my keyboard as a protest!

Everybody always comments on how her face is so full of expression, and she's so full of character. The other day she sifted through my handbag and stole my gloves, running up the stairs with them! Currently her obsession for chewing boxes has turned into an obsession for fluffy objects, she seems to develop new ones every now and then. She's even learnt how to open one of my cupboards, she always gets fascinated by closed doors (or rather whats behind the closed doors) so she is relentless with her cupboard opening, and always waits around opportunistically for me to open a door or cupboard so she can jump in!

Watching Julie and Henry together is always entertaining, she never fails to give him kisses in the middle of their play fighting, and watching them cuddle up together is so heartwarming, before we know it both me and my parents are standing around minutes on end just watching them cuddle because its so cute. My Dad always mentions that hes never had a cat as loving and intelligent as Julie, she's very dog-like in behavior and funnily enough she likes to play fetch with her favourite toy.

Henry is learning some good and bad habits from Julie and vice-versa, he loves to cuddle up with me only at the moment and I spoil him rotten with it. Both kittens are incredibly affectionate and might I add are growing in size at an incredibly fast rate!

Our neighbours cat is rather unfriendly, he always sits behind the window waiting to start a fight with them, he even hits them from behind the window! It doesn't seem to scare Julie much, she becomes even more curious and sits by the window, but poor Henry gets scared!

September 2013 - from Sogol's email

Julie is sitting beside me as I type this email for you and as I mentioned previously she is an absolute joy to have in our family, and my parents and myself love both kittens to pieces. They both recovered very well from their spaying/neutering procedures and Julie's scar has healed up very well, although the patch of hair that was shaved off is still growing back! It seems that she and Henry are soul-mates and adore each other, and even in the midst of play fighting she always stops to groom him, which is really cute!

Julie is incredibly kind and affectionate, and every morning without fail she gives me a kiss on the forehead and snuggles up with me while I sleep, and her affectionate behaviour is rubbing off on Henry who now also snuggles up into my lap.
She has an obsession with hiding under blankets and cardboard boxes, and every time we order products from zooplus she hijacks the delivery box, constantly jumping into and out of it and tearing it apart with her teeth.

Everybody always mentions how beautiful she is when they visit our home, she is getting more and more beautiful by the day her coat is everchanging as always. Her ruff is developing and her tail has become incredibly long!

We have now cleared up a large area at the back of our garden to build the cat run (it will be 4 m x 4 m area so its the same size as a large room). We are currently designing it and working out how much material we need, and I will definitely send you pictures of it once its completed.

Adapted from Sogol's email, at the end of June 2013

Julie and Henry have settled into our home very well, Henry always follows where Julie goes and copies her actions as well (including naughty stuff like scratching up the furniture when we aren't looking!). He always meows for her to come and play when she disappears in the house. I think he sees Julie as a mother figure. Both my parents adore them and they have very much become the family cats.

As you mentioned with the other kittens being affectionate, Julie is also incredibly affectionate! Whenever she's sleepy (and not hyperactive and playing) she loves to cuddle up beside me or sit on my tummy, and she often gives kisses. She loves to cuddle up especially at night times when I'm sleeping too, and of course Henry has also taken this up.
